Terms and conditions
1. Legal
Great Ormond Street International Promotions Limited (GOSIPL) is the wholly owned
trading subsidiary of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (Registered
Charity Number 235825) and as such Gift Aids all its profits to the charity at financial
year end. GOSIPL is a company registered in England and Wales No. 2265303.
2. Processing your order and payment
2.1 We accept payment by MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit. We do not accept
American Express, Solo, Electron or Diners Club cards. Cheques and postal orders
are accepted for postal orders only and should be made payable to Great Ormond Street
International Promotions Limited (or GOSIPL). Cheques should be crossed and have
your address (including postcode), cheque card number and card expiry date written
on the back. Please do not send cash through the post. CAF cheques are acceptable
only where you are solely making a donation and not if purchasing any product, including
alternative gifts.
2.2 All prices of products and delivery charges shown within the gift catalogue
brochure and on our website are inclusive of VAT and are correct at the time of
printing. For further information on delivery charges see the post and packing section
on the order form. Those customers exempt from VAT charges (i.e. living in
the Channel Islands) should put their claim in writing, along with a copy of this
despatch receipt to Campaign Team, GOSHCC, 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE. For
those customers who choose not to do this, the reclaimable amount will be accepted
as a donation.
2.3 Calls to our customer services team are charged at 3p per minute, from a landline.
Lines are open Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-8pm and Bank Holiday weekends
9am-5pm.
3. Goods
3.1 All orders will be subject to our acceptance of the order
3.2 Due to popular demand and occasional limited availability, our products may
sell out quickly. If an item you have ordered is not available you will be notified.
3.3 Although we aim to describe and measure items as accurately as possible, occasionally
colours, design and materials may vary slightly from those illustrated.
3.4 The donation amounts of our alternative gifts suggest how Great Ormond Street
Hospital Children’s Charity could spend your money. However your donation
helps the full range of our work at the Hospital and will be used where the need
is most urgent.
3.5 If items within your order are permanently out of stock, we may at times substitute
your item for a similar product of equal or greater value. If you do not wish to
accept this substitute you may return it to us and we will issue you with a full
refund.
4. Delivery
4.1 Your order should arrive within 7-10 days, but please allow up to 28 days for
delivery at peak times.
4.2 Orders received by 21st December will be delivered in time for Christmas
where stock is available. Orders are welcomed until 31st January 2010.
4.3 We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred
due to failed or delayed deliveries or breach of our obligations, if the delay or
breach is due to acts of God, civil commotion, riots, strikes, malicious damage,
floods, drought, fire, flood, legislation, failure of ISP or telecommunications
provider or other cause beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your
statutory rights.
4.4 If you select the next day delivery option by telephone or via an internet order,
where stock is available, your order must be placed by 1pm Monday-Thursday to receive
your order the next working day. Orders placed by 1pm on Friday will be delivered
on the following working Monday and orders placed over the weekend will be delivered
on the next working Tuesday.
4.5 A postage and packing fee is not applicable for donations or the purchase of
alternative gifts where other items are not included.
4.6 Customers qualify for free delivery where they would qualify for UK postage
and delivery fees and are spending £50 or over on their order.
4.7 For overseas deliveries, or those to the Highlands and Islands, please call
our customer services team for full delivery charges on 0844 888 3747.
5. Cancellation and refunds
If you cancel your order, or change your mind once you have received your order, we
will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with
the item's normal postage charge. Until the product is received by us, you must
take reasonable care of it and ensure that it is returned to us in a re-saleable
condition.
Full returns instructions can be found on the reverse of the order’s delivery
note. Please tell us why you are returning the goods and what you would like as
a remedy. If you wish to return non-faulty goods, this should be done within 14
days of receipt. We offer a money-back guarantee on products returned in a good,
unused condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.
6. Data protection
The information provided by customers will be held by Great Ormond Street Hospital
Children's Charity and Emery Ltd for processing and administrative purposes in accordance
with the Data Protection Act 1998.
7. Gift Aid
As the Gift Aid declaration covers donations made in the future, please notify the
charity of any changes of name or address while the declaration is in force. You
can cancel the declaration at any time by notifying the charity. From the date of
cancellation Gift Aid will not be applied to any donation you make. You must pay
an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax that is at least equal to the tax
that our charity reclaims on your donations during a tax year. If your circumstances
change and you no longer pay tax on your income and/or capital gains, equal to the
tax that we reclaim, you should cancel your declaration.
